Tour of the Watford Terrace House and its Rooms... (NOW UNFURNISHED)

The property is a mid-level terrace with 2 floors and 2 double-bedrooms plus garden... (NOTE THAT THIS PROPERTY IS NOW UNFURNISHED)

There are plenty of power points available, and TV points in the lounge, kitchen and both bedrooms, and a telephone point in the lounge, bedroom and ktichen.

Windows are fully double-glazed, and like the rest of the house - there is a good level of insulation to keep heating costs down.

Central heating is provided - radiators are present in all major rooms of the house. A boiler is fitted and has been checked and approved by a Corgi-registered engineer. Gas and Electricity Meters are located in the front porch of the house for readings.

The door at the back of the kitchen leads to the back garden, which has a shed (with lawnmower provided, tumble dryer and power supply available), washing line, awning, table & bench and lawn.

There is a lot of storage space available in the house, with cupboards in furniture, at the porch entrance, an airing cupboard upstairs, the loft, and under the stairway, as well as cupboards in the bedroom. The shed is another place to store things like bikes, which can be brought around the side door of the house.

So what are the features of the house?

The page below describes each room of the house in further detail - but for brevity I shall mention the facilities and benefits available within the house for the tenants:

  • Cabling in place for connecting to Satellite and broadband internet services upstairs and downstairs
  • Use of dishwasher, oven, hobs, washing machine, tumble dryer (in shed), and fridge / freezer available
  • Use of garden cleaning tools, washing line, lawnmowers, hoses, BBQ available
  • Power shower facility in shared bathroom
  • Off-road parking (driveway) available for 2 cars
  • Plenty of storage space in the house - room for 2 bicycles in the shed
  • And the comfort and privacy of having the whole house to yourselves! :o)

Take a tour of the House...

The house is a 2-bedroom terrace, which has a bathroom, a large kitchen, and a very large dining room and combined lounge. It also has a porch, two driveways plus much external parking space, a large back garden and shed - and plenty of storage space in cupboards and above in the loft. I'll go through each room in further detail:

THE LOUNGE / DINING ROOM

This is the largest (and in my opinion) the most impressive room in the house. With plenty of space to store stuff - this room is exceptionally comfortable, but also acts as a nice room to entertain.

THE KITCHEN

The kitchen is a modern, and well-kept room, which has all the mod-cons that the most expert of cooks or the laziest of people could want to have. It contains the usual facilities, but also includes a washing machine (tumble dryer in the shed), dishwasher, electric hobs, fan-assisted oven and grill, double-decker fridge / freezer, and plenty of storage space to boot. The kitchen also has a breakfast bar, and a wall mounted analogue TV with DVD player.

THE GARDEN AND SHED

This is a standard long-garden with shed at the end, with a couple of exceptions. I have installed a power cable to the shed, which allows you to operate electrical equipment at the other end of the garden. I have installed a tumble dryer in the shed. If you are a bicycle user, you can store your bicycle here. At night, there is a powerful beam light that illuminates the garden upon motion detection. The property also comes with a lawnmower and garden tools to keep the garden in good condition and sprinkler hose. The kitchen has a patio area with bench and retractable awning available, and a BBQ is available, which allows for all-weather situations!

THE BATHROOM

The bathroom is a standard bathroom really - but it has a power shower installed, and plenty of storage for items as well. It is well-kept, with new fittings, and clean.

THE REAR BEDROOM

It is a deceptively small-looking room, which is about 12 feet by 9 feet in size, but it hides a massive mirror built-in wardrobe of 3 feet depth by 6 feet width. It has a TV point and BT socket with Freeview Digital TV channels available, plenty of power points and a large window (with blinds) overlooking the gardens. There is plenty of furniture inside, all of which is available for use, including a set of shelves, a chest of bedroom drawers, and of course a double-bed with a frosted glass bedside table.

THE FRONT BEDROOM

It is a spacious room, about 12 feet by 16 feet in size. It hides a built-in wardrobe of 2 feet depth by 4 feet width. It has a TV point and BT socket with digital TV channels available (Freeview and Sky if desired), plenty of power points and 2 x large windows (with blinds) overlooking the cul-de-sac, facing the morning sun. There is plenty of furniture inside, all of which is available for use, including 2 x chests of drawers, a shelf, a mini computer desk, and an orthapedic divan double bed.

OTHER PLACES IN THE HOUSE

There is a porch and entrance area at the front of the house, where you can keep coats, etc. There is also plenty of storage space on the ground level by way of cupboards underneath the stairs and the attic upstairs. The place is fully central-heated with an electric fireplace in the living room. All windows and doors are newly double-glazed, provinding maximum protection and insulation from the cold. One of the storage cupboards contains 2 sun loungers, and a vacuum cleaner. There is a large driveway outside the house for two cars and additional space across the road for off-road parking.
