Transport and Rail Links
WALKING DISTANCES: The house is one mile away from Watford tube station (Metropolitan Line) - a 15 minute walk, and is about a 35-minute walk to Moor Park tube or Watford Junction rail stations. Due to these distances, I suggest that the tenants should be car or bicycle owners if they will be commuting large distances regularly.
MOOR PARK, CROXLEY & WATFORD TUBE: Moor Park tube station (Metropolitan) is accessible within 5 minutes by car, from where you can catch a train to Baker Street within 30 minutes. It is possible to be in central London door-to-door within an hour. Click this LINK to see a train and tube map of connections for Moor Park, Watford tube, and Watford Junction (top left corner of the map). Watford and Croxley stations are accessible by bicycle on a 10-minute journey.
WATFORD JUNCTION RAIL: Watford is also served via Silverlink railways, which can get you from Watford Junction to London Euston in 20 minutes. This train also stops running at 2 am on Friday and Saturday nights. Click HERE for more details about rail links from Watford Junction.
NOTE that a new Ascot Road station will open 0.8 miles walk from the property in 2015/2016, further details of which can be found HERE.
BUS LINKS: There are also extensive bus links, with the nearest bus stop a 5-minute walk from the house, and it is served by buses going to Watford centre, and Watford Junction station.
DRIVING: Road links in Watford are excellent - with easy access to the M25 (10 minute drive) and the M1 (10 minute drive).

Because the town is only a twenty minute train journey from Euston Station it tends to have the character of a London suburb but it does retain some vestiges of its past, notably several timber-framed buildings around the ancient church of St Mary's.
Today the prosperous town has important industrial and business districts, along with its large residential areas.
Watford is noted for its excellent shopping facilities, dominated by the Harlequin Centre in the heart of the town. The centre houses most major retailers and attracts shoppers from the smaller surrounding towns.
Adjacent to the Harlequin Centre is Watford Market which is held Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The lively town also boasts many restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, cinemas and theatres.
Cassiobury Park, ten minutes from the town centre, also has many sporting facilities including a children's paddling pool, tennis courts, bowling green and a croquet lawn.
So is this your kind of area?
Watford is a nice town, with enough of a countryside / suburban feel to it. It is also a relatvely safe area, with a very low crime rate, and due to the suburban success of the neighbourhood watch scheme. It does also have the basic requirements of a town area that you could need, and easy access to the city, or to the rest of England should you need it.
The access capability is good enough to get around Watford town without the need for a car, but for journeys to surrounding areas, a car is recommended. A bike is also sufficient to get around town. The place itself is located in a family-area cul-de-sac, which is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet from busy roads.
So the information above will hopeully assist you in making your decision about Watford as a place to live.
